Eagles Carry Momentum in to 2nd Match - Defeating FHE

A mid March day of nearly 80 degrees was the setting for Caldwell Varsity Golf's second match of the Season.  Playing at Starmount Forest CC, the Eagles handily won their match against Forsyth Home Educators by 23 strokes.  The Eagles were led by a pair of 37's by Zach Kupiec and Freddy Ortmann.  A score of 40 by Grayson Smith, and a 41 carded by Matthew Lapeirre rounded out the team score for Caldwell at 155.  FHE's lowest scoring player also shot 41 and their team score added up to 178.  The highlight of the match though, was #5 seed, Matthew Lapeirre's tee shot on the par 3 hole #3.  The shot was launched high in to the air, heading straight towards the pin, and landed just short of the pin location coming to rest within tap in range of the hole for a stellar birdie!
